This research searches for means of teaching Arabic as a second language. In this research, the researcher used teaching methods in the lesson to make learning happy in the minds of the students. This research was written with the aim of explaining the methods of teaching Arabic as a second language, as well as being a reference for teachers and school principals in researching schools. The researcher uses descriptive research in this research, that is, by presenting a complete picture in verbal or digital form, providing basic information about the relationship, and exploring the phenomenon and social reality. Research results show that the influence of the Arabic language on different languages in non-societies Arabs greatly influence the way Muslim people think and behave around the world. Research data is collected from primary data and secondary data sources using data collection techniques using documentation, observations, and interviews. Research uses data reduction processes, data presentation, and conclusion drawings to analyze data. The findings show that: 1. fulfillment of learning style (VAK) provides learning experience that is close to the way of acquisition of knowledge, information. Magnificent learning is no longer a "clueless" learning in learning it. 2. The importance of speaking skills can be seen from the importance of language itself in human life. Therefore, speaking skills are the most important component in learning a language. It is no wonder that many educational institutions pay special attention to teaching Arabic speaking skills to their students. The thing that must be considered in addition to teaching this skill is the measurement of students' abilities using tests. This paper aims to find out the Arabic speaking skills test for beginners as a measurement of each individual's ability. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a form of literature study in collecting its data. The results of this study indicate that the test is one of the tools to measure students' abilities in order to know the extent of students' mastery and their fluency in speaking using correct Arabic. The measurement of speaking ability in its implementation requires individual tests, so it requires a long time. Therefore, a teacher must give enough space in the implementation of this test so that it can determine the ability of his students in speaking. Speaking skills consist of several branch skills, so tests can be conducted on one or several branches of speaking skills. The test also depends on the level of the student, looking at the characteristics of teaching speaking skills at that level. The speaking skills test for the beginner level includes several aspects namely word pronunciation, vocabulary mastery, comprehension, and speaking fluency.
Rizkyana Wahyu Laras Pertiwi, Tsaniya Ruchamainisaa, Ni’matul Hidayah, Binti Karimah, Siti fadilah Copyright (c) 2024 International Proceeding on Language Teaching https://ancolt-pekanbahasa.unkafa.ac.id/index.php/proceeding/article/view/46 Fri, 15 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0700 تعليم اللغة العربية على أساس مهارات التفكير الحاسوبي (CT) https://ancolt-pekanbahasa.unkafa.ac.id/index.php/proceeding/article/view/65
The digital revolution has changed the way we learn and teach, the skills that need to be added to cope with the revolution are Computational Thinking (CT), It is very helpful to develop critical, creative, and collaborative thinking skills to answer the challenges of education in the 21st century. The study will describe teachers’ strategies to sustain students’ motivation in learning English and students’ preference towards the teaching strategies. A case study with qualitative approach is implemented in the study. Involving D2 students and an English teacher in one of the community colleges in Gresik, the data will be collected in the form of questionnaire using close-ended questions and analysed by the procedure: (1) collecting the data, (2) reducing the data, (3) displaying the data, and (4) drawing conclusion and interpretation. There are some results of this study. First, the teachers applied learning strategies to sustain students’ motivation in the beginning activity: listing the attendance of students, knowing the name of students, and asking the problem of students in learning English; whilst activity: the teacher applied various method and instructional media in teaching English; and closing activity: the teacher gave feedback to students after the learning activity. Second, students have positive responds towards the teacher’s strategies. The strategies implemented by the teacher could motivate them in learning English.
Zakia Habsari Copyright (c) 2024 International Proceeding on Language Teaching https://ancolt-pekanbahasa.unkafa.ac.id/index.php/proceeding/article/view/33 Mon, 18 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Challenges of Students in Learning Arabic at Darel Azhar Islamic Boarding School in Banten https://ancolt-pekanbahasa.unkafa.ac.id/index.php/proceeding/article/view/32
This article addresses the challenges encountered by students in learning Arabic at Darel Azhar Islamic Boarding School in Banten.
